The Two Jakes is a 1990 film directed by Jack Nicholson. It was produced by Robert Evans and Harold Schneider with Robert Towne writing the screenplay. The film stars Jack Nicholson, Harvey Keitel, Meg Tilly, Madeleine Stowe, Eli Wallach, Rubén Blades, Frederic Forrest and David Keith. The storyline follows J. J. "Jake" Gittes who is hired by Julius "Jake" Berman to catch his wife committing adultery. However, during the operation, Berman kills his rival and business partner.
