Gangster No 1 (pronounced Gangster Number One) is a 2000 film directed by Paul McGuigan. It was co-produced by Norma Heyman and Jonathan Cavendish. The screenplay was co-written Johnny Ferguson, Louis Mellis and David Scinto. The story is based on play of Gangster No 1, by Louis Mellis - who also wrote Sexy Beast - and David Scinto. Gangster No. 1 stars Malcolm McDowell, Paul Bettany, David Thewlis and Saffron Burrows.
